Ash Wednesday Homily

Today we begin our annual season of renewal, retreat and conversion. As in every year, it has the potential to be fruitful if we change.
If we allow the story of Jesus to affect once again.
It is true that some people choose not to pray
Simply because they know that it will change them,
demand something of them.
Let us be bold and courageous and believe that yes it will.
Our disciplines and sacrifices should stretch us so
that we understand ourselves better or different in God’s eyes.
And when we do that,
we can see others and the communities in which we live - differently.

Pray our parish theme these 40 days. 
Renew ME. Renew US.
Change starts with ME
By that simple fact US changes.

Let us begin this journey personally committed
and together.
